Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to Beaufort County Busted Mugshots, a privately operated reference site about official county, city, court, state, and federal record routes. By browsing or using the site, a visitor accepts these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site.

Beaufort County Busted Mugshots has no government affiliation. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides services covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site points to Beaufort County and North Carolina inmate and jail resources; it is not a private investigation firm and is not a consumer reporting agency.

What the Site Provides

This is a private reference service. It stores no official Beaufort County Detention Center roster, cannot confirm custody, cannot release anyone, cannot post bond, and cannot file a court or records request for a visitor. It explains the Beaufort County Detention Center’s BCSO app-only inmate-search route, municipal police records, North Carolina eCourts, NCDAC, federal locators, and records-request options. Outside websites control their own content and uptime.

Acceptable Use

Visitors agree to use the site lawfully and responsibly:

  • Do not use the site to break a law or interfere with an investigation.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or target another person.
  • Do not use arrest or booking information for hiring, credit, insurance, housing, tenant screening, licensing, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to the site, its systems, or a linked provider.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated tools that burden or copy the service.
  • Do not disrupt the site or prevent other visitors from using it.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither its advertising partners nor outside search tools are endorsed for those functions. Visitors agree not to use any information from this site for hiring or firing, housing or tenant decisions, creditworthiness, insurance premiums, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

External Links

The pages link to sheriff, jail, police, court, corrections, federal, local-news, legal, and outside search resources. The operator does not control their material, data handling, fees, security, or availability. Review the destination’s terms before submitting information or relying on a result. An outside result does not become an official Beaufort County record because it is linked here.

Information As Provided

The site is supplied “as is.” No warranty is made about accuracy, completeness, currency, uninterrupted access, absence of errors or security weaknesses, or the thoroughness of an outside search result. Custody status, public records, app behavior, court data, and agency contacts change. Nothing here is an official statement from BCSO, the Beaufort County Detention Center, a city police department, North Carolina courts, NCDAC, or another government body.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from access to, reliance on, inability to access, or use of the site or a linked service.

User Indemnity

A visitor agrees to hold the operator harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from the visitor’s use of the site, violation of these terms, misuse of information, or unlawful conduct.

Ownership of Materials

Text, graphics, logos, layout, and code on this site belong to Beaufort County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. No material may be copied, distributed, modified, or republished without written permission, except where applicable law permits it.

Changes to These Terms

Terms may be changed at any time. The revised terms take effect when posted. Continued use after a revision means the visitor accepts the updated version.

Access May End

The operator may limit, suspend, or block access to the site at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.

North Carolina Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute must be filed in a court located within North Carolina, subject to applicable law.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected language should be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
